    Educational Administrator with Principal Experience

    Drawing upon a 20 year career in education that includes serving as a special education teacher and principal, Keith Morris serves as dean of instruction for grades 5 to 8 at Detroit, Michigan's Mary McLeod Bethune School, where he oversees curriculum development and leads training sessions for teaching staff. Prior to this role, Keith Morris served as principal of David Ellis Academy, a kindergarten to grade 8 charter school in Detroit.

    Mr. Morris has also held assistant principal roles with Center Line Public School District and Highland Park School District and, early in his career, worked as a special education teacher with Ohio's Groveport-Madison Local School District and the Columbus Public Schools. He earned a bachelor's degree in special education from Central State University and has since completed master's degrees in education administration and educational leadership at the University of Phoenix and Oakland University, respectively. He is also working toward a
    PhD in educational leadership at Oakland University, where he is researching factors associated with academic motivation among African American males.
